About Toto
Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs) and bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. Taking their name from the Latin word meaning "all all-encompassing," the group was intent on exploring every musical style.
Toto's third release, Turn Back, was a failure in 1981. However they made amends with their fourth album, Isolation, which contained two songs that were hits with the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour make Toto a household name across the world.
